Braci
Braci Restaurant is located in the Volz Building, a historic Lockport property that had previously been unoccupied after a fire destroyed its interior. The design concept celebrates the layered material heritage that narrates Midwest history while emphasizing carefully picked tiles, fabrics, and artwork. Within the interior, portions of the old limestone and brick walls are preserved and integrated into the design. The central communal table features a long custom pendant light above, while a series of lights along the wall create a stark modern contrast on the old limestone wall. Custom-designed banquette seating along the wall with built-in planters can accommodate different sizes of parties: whether it’s a date night or a family event.
